Ki O Rahi

Today my class room 5 at 9:00am played a game called Ki O Rahi which is a traditional maori game. last week we had to learn about this game like why the game was made or how to play the game. Also Ki O Rahi has zones te marama te ao te ara te roto there is also the tupu and the pou.   Now how to play Ki O Rahi which is played with two teams Kioma and Taniwha. Kioma has to run around  touching the pou and then runing into the middle to get a try once Kioma has scored they have to do a kick off in te marama Kioma also has two guardians in the middle to protect the tupu and stoping Taniwha from scoreing. Taniwha has to hit the tupu with the ball to score but they have to shoot in te roto but there can only be 4 shooters in te roto and Kioma can not enter te roto. Taniwha can also go for a jump shot aslong as they shoot before they touch the ground.
i have also found out that the game was mainly made so maori tribes could keep the peace between them by playing this game.

Joseph Parker

Today at assembly we had two very special guest at school and that was Joseph Parker and his sister Elizabeth Parker if you don't know who Joseph Parker is he is a professional New Zealand boxer
of samoan heritage so he is pretty cool and we got to see him at assembly friday the 19 of june.
and on this day he said two important things and they were to believe in your self and don't wait
until someone tells you that you can do it but tell yourself that you can do it. the second one was nothing beats hard work. those were the two very important things he told us. he also showed us his very cool guitar skils.

My Narrative Writing

Today we had write a narrative this is what i wrote:Years ago dragons traveled around the world.

Having the greatest of adventures. Until mankind was filled with fear thinking that dragons were too dangerous for the world. They opted to bring this species to extinction.

But there was one dragon, a very special dragon that was the king of all dragons and his name was Fangs. Fangs was going to be very special. Even more special then he already was. 

As the struggle for survival became harder and harder for the dragons. the humans discovered a weakness that the dragons had. It was some sort of pison said Fangs, well of course it would be poison, Brenton said Brenton was the best friend of Fangs. They were very close. (Crumble) what was that? Said Fangs i don’t know i think we are being under attack! Shouted Brenton. It had become apparent that the humans had started to attack one of the dragon cities.  And this dragon city just so happens to be the one where Fangs was living at.

So wasting no time they hurried out of there as fast as they could. Fangs was accompanied by two royal dragon Guards Pendragon and Draco along with his Best friend Brenton but unfortunately as they were about to leave the city. Boom! Fangs was hit by one of the poison arrows. All though the poison didn’t kill him instantly they still didn’t know how much time Fangs had left.

But luckily they just barely made it out. 

The poison was still spreading throughout Fangs body they had to act quickly they managed to get most of the poison out but he it turns out the poison gave Fangs a dragon disease that would slowly kill Fangs. Fangs had two weeks to live. Now isn’t the time to be sad Said Fangs they had to move.

Although they did find out that there was a dragon wishing stone. so without a break they headed for the stone. After days they found the stone 1 week and 6 days had passed.  Fangs only had a couple minutes to live. Come on, make a wish to cure you of your disease Brenton said that's what they expected Fangs to wish for but. Instead he wished for a place where all dragons could live in peace his wish was granted and all dragons were free but Fangs was dying he gave up his life to save thousands in his last moments he said goodbye to his friend.
