Fencing

Thousands of years ago the persians and Greeks used fencing to practice sword fighting. Their swords and

Armour were very heavy and the soldiers ams would get tired.

In 1896 fencing became an olympic sport. The athletes use three kinds of swords the foil’ the epee and

the sabre.

the Olympics flame

The Ancient Greeks started the idea of having an olympic Flame. in Olympia a flame is lit by the Sun's rays and stays alight until the games have ended. the flame showed The athletes’ fight to win.

Today the flame Tell us About the Light of the spirit, knowledge and life. the Torch is Still lit in Olympia in Greece, then it is carried by a relay team, until it gets to the city of the games. there, the cauldron will be lit and stay alight until the closing ceremony.

the Ancient Olympics

The Olympics Began Over Two and a half thousand years Ago. in ancient Greece. during the Olympics states who were At war stop fighting. this event was in a Place called a Olympia. They were held every four years in honour of  Zeus Lord of all the Gods. eventually the Ancient Olympics were banned by The Christians who didn't like the games. But the Ancient Olympics will always be remembered for peace.

Te Tuhi

First thing in the morning I got on a bus to Te Tuhi for a art adventure about shapes. I made my dream house. My dream house had four pools. Jeremy took the group to an art gallery. It was about when you  can not see but you have to be patient and touch someones face. Then he took the group to this movie room it was scary.   Then we got to see a video that was not scary it was about making gold that was the last stop. We went back to school I had fun.

Once there was a little boy named Tamarereti. He lived at lake Taupo

. One day he woke up  feeling hungry he had no food. He went fishing he caught 3 fish.  Then he fell asleep. the wake got blown by the wind. He woke up at an island. He cooked his fish.

It was dark he saw glistening pebbles. he pick the

Pebbles up. He took the pebbles to the wake and threw the pebbles into the sky so he could get home safely. When he got home he fall to sleep when he woke up he saw someone waiting for tamarereti it was the god of the sky. tamarereti thought he was in trouble but he was not in trouble. the god of the sky was happy tamarereti y

The Sky Tower

The sky tower is 328 metres tall towering over Auckland. It has 360 degree views in the city. Some people sky jump off the sky tower because it fun for them. But some people are afraid of jumping off the sky tower.

the London eye

The London eye is 120 metres tall.  the London eye is a Ferris wheel. Ferris wheels are scary because some people are scared of heights. Some people are not afraid of heights they think it fun.                                                                                                                       

the Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is 320 metres tall.  The sky Tower is 328 metres tall. They both have elevator and they both have stairs.

the Colosseum

The Colosseum is a  famous building. 2000 years ago people use to go to a Colosseum to see gladiators Fight. They charge in to battle to Fight

For their justice. Only one can take their freedom. Once a gladiator takes their freedom they became a hero.

A hero that saves the world so this is why they made a Colosseum 2000 years ago.

New Zealand Flag

New Zealanders have begun voting on whether to change their flag from a design which features the British Union Jack to one which features a silver fern. Some people say that the current flag is too similar to Australia’s flag. The Lost Boy

A little boy called James  was playing with his dog Fluffy. Then he threw the ball too far and the dog ran into the dark and scary forest. Running after the dog the boy tripped over a log then fell into a hole then he called for help then his day  and then he saw a rope and he climbed up the rope then he was out of the hole.
